This piece was originally created as promo art for my shelved creator-owned project, Transformers: Advent of the Sha'ar. (see disclaimer below)

Subsequently, this piece was featured on the special features disc of The Transformers - 25th Anniversary Matrix of Leadership Edition: Collector’s Set DVD...I still think it's one of my favorite pieces to date.

Okay, so here is the aformentioned disclaimer for the original Transformers: Advent of the Sha'ar project:

TF: Advent of the Sha'ar *** In the year 2005, the Transformers battled valiantly to protect their homeworld from a menacing monster planet.

But before that, they fought an evil threatening what they cherised most...

Okay, so the big announcement teaser is here. Slated as a prequel to the 1986 movie, Advent of the Sha'ar will be an 80 page graphic novel slated for online release in 2008. This story will fill in the gap between the end of Season 2 and Transformers: The Movie (1986)!

My how time flies. I can't believe that was 7 years ago. I sometimes wonder what that comic would have been like had I continued working on it. By now, it would have been completed and online for many to read.

I'm still hoping to do a G1-entric project in the future and, perhaps, even Advent of the Sha'ar.
