Well, nobody asked to see, but they aren't doing me any good wasting away on my hard drive. I can't have people thinking I do nothing with my time >:I

This is part one of the Escapist Magazine webcomic contest that happened back in February. The competition was fierce and I'm glad it lost against the comics it did; my dialogue is terrible at best. I managed to squeeze a little funny into it, but any laughs issued from the viewer's craw might be out of pity or regret.

I'm on record for saying video game humor is inaccessible and comics that employ it risk becoming impenetrable to the layman. With this series, in the pitch that I submitted, I wanted to do away with all that and treat video gaming like any other hobby; as life goes on priorities become a little less clear-cut. Gamers that grew up on NES and Master System are well into their twenties now, and the new crop of gamers have no notion of Super Mario having one less dimension.

I don't think it was in so many words, but anyway; I tried, I failed, but now I have four great portfolio entries. No regrets.
