A second version of the sketch of Accendare in
My favourite French breed and French dragon ever in the Temeraire Universe. Even if it is the enemy. Though, this depends on the perspective of course
I find it funny that with such a background mentions in the series I still managed to get to like her.A C C E N D A R E
Breed Name: Flamme-de-Gloire, "Flame of Glory" in French.
National Loyalty: French
Physical Characteristics:Middleweight
Special Abilities: Fire breather
Flamme-De-Gloire is one of the most dangerous breeds in the French Aviation due to its ability to breathe fire. It was a usual tactic for the French to employ several similar-looking dragons (usually Papillon Noirs) to fly around the Flamme-de-Gloire as decoys, so the enemy would not know on which to focus an attack.
Accendare has her own formation of 14 dragons total, which escorted Lawrence & Temeraire back to Britain some time after they had delivered the cure from the dragon plague to the French.
