Quite nice! The atmosphere does look well finished off, which adds a great deal to the piece, and the detail is fairly good, overall, with pencilstrokes giving the picture a well finished touch, as the person who chose it pointed out. However, if the admins are going to finally start recognising outstanding pencilwork, I highly reccomend they check out 's stuff, because the poor guy gets little attention for what I've decided is some of the most fantastic, original work to grace this page. Not to use this space to plug his work or anything, I do like this pic, to an extent--I just feel folks like him deserve more notice, too...I mean, look at this , or this , or, heck, this , and tell me you're not impressed. I really hope somebody picks up on it. DDs are all too precious.

Man, that's a nice piece of art. I'm guilty of whoring my CG programs, but plain old pencil has always been my absolute favorite medium. It takes talent to highlight, blend and shade like this. Excellent job overall, congrats on the Daily Deviation, and a big +Fav.

Overall, I think this is ok, but in my opinion, you could probably do better. Your shading techniques are really good.. but also extremely scratchy. Try smoothing out the graphite with a cloth or something. The anatomy is really off, as everyone else pointed out already.
I use pencil as my main medium, for I think thats all I'm good at. It may take some practice, but I think you could manipulate graphite to do some pretty amazing things if you really worked at it.
But anywho, congrats on the DD.

She either had huge tits, or a very thin body. The perspective of the pillar clashes with the floor, but otherwise it's very good shading. Great job!

Definately took some skill and is very nice, all except for the winged womans shadow. It wasnt shaded very well and it looks like it was an afterthought. Other than that, its very nice.

hmm... the wings could use a lot more detailing. the top left corner is incomplete. and when I look at the overall composition closely, it actually seems that the whole cropping is rather bad (the statue on the right is cut!?). this is also a subject that is not exactly the best for pencils, due to all the darkness: the shadows look messy and you can see exactly where the lines of the pencil went, when they should be smooth. a touch with maybe charcoal to smoothen the shadows would be a nice idea...
it's a good work, shows talent, but I don't think it has that finished look +splat mentions...at all. it could use much more work.

Nice work. It's good to see something this good that is hand drawn and not digitally manipulated.

The concept is nice and there's great effort show. I would have worked the composition is bit to make it more interesting. The shading is standard but not spectacular. Dramatic lighting to cast shadows and reflection could have made this wonderful.

This is a decent attempt, though it's not 'excellent' 'amazing' or 'simplemente increbles'. It's got it's flaws, and I will list them for you, hopefully you will take this the right way, as constructive critique:
-Her body is way too thin. Sure, females should be skinny, but not anorexic. Especially not if she's going to have huge boobs like that. You should probably learn some anatomy.
-Her neck is curved. This is physically impossible.
-The wings look pretty good.
-The lighting seems off.. that curve of shadow in the bottom right-hand corner, where is that coming from? It doesn't look right at all.
-The pillar thing she's holding looks kind of 2 dimentional, like her, maybe learning some new shading techniques or something could help you out here.
It's a very flawed picture, but not perfect by any standard. Keep drawing, though, as practice (and tutorials and maybe a class or two) makes perfect.

Amazing work! This is a piece which I hope to use as a learning tool in shading, as that is something I desperately need to work on. >.
