I've been thinking about Galileo ever since I did Character Tag: Galileo the other day ,So I did a sketch of him in school yesterday, here's the final version of said sketch and I gotta say, I'm really proud of this one.I've really wanted to experiment with the placement of lightning and shading in conjunction with each other lately and I think I did really well with this one.
I'm also really pleased with the background, I've been trying out some new brushes I found online recently and not only am I having tons of fun with the,, but they're also improving my art! for example: whenever I drew tree's they were always, very awkward looking, lumps of green but now that I found a leaf brush, tree's and bushes actually look like tree's and bushes!

That looks pretty good (although the Telescope does look a bit like it doesn't really belong there due to the art style used), I don't see any noticeable flaws with the lighting and such, and yeah, I will admit that the background also looks pretty good!

Thanks, in retrospect I do have to agree about the telescope, I tried to do it in a more realistic style like the background but that did make it stand out a bit. (But as the old saying goes, if at first you don't succeed, try try again!).
Also, thanks for the feedback, it's thanks to comments like yours that I'm able to improve as an artiest.
