the adorable duo Popo & Nana!something I've always wanted to know is are the brother and sister or are they boy-friend and girl-friend?
the ice climbers are two of my favorite characters to play as in super smash bros much like Ness I didn't even know they existed until I first played melee but when I saw them I loved them!
actually last night I cleared adventure mode in Melee as them and defeated Giga Bowser as them (with only one life to spare!) I've actually noticed that if one of them is using an item that you only have to press and hold a button to use (for example the fire flower) and then press the B button you can actually have one attack while the other is using an item!
also when I put the date on this I accidently put it as being finished at 12:41 PM when I actually finished it at 12:41 AM if your wondering why I was up that late it's because I was waiting for some laundry to finish drying.

I see them as very close friends, who wind up moving up to lovers later on in their lives. This is an opinion I have kept solid for 8 years. When I first played as the Ice Climbers in Melee back in 03, I saw them as siblings. My opinion changed three years later believing they we're lovers, then changed again to best friends, I never understood why my opinion changed, most likely it was their part in the SSBM intro where Nana save's Popo from nearly falling off a platform to his doom, or when they appear in Onnete giving each other a high-five and a heart appears above their heads.

Really nicely done! I love the scarf you added on to Nana. I think I might start doing that whenever I draw them.
They say that their relationship is ambiguous because Nintendo wants each person to be able to decide for themselves what it is. So, they can be whatever you want them to be! I like seeing them as brother and sister, but I think Sakurai sees them as lovers.

You mean the creator of the original Ice Climber game? That's a good question... I wonder if they ever thought about it, really, since it was an NES game without too much story.
