Personal shrink devices had been around for a while but they were too unreliable for anything large scale and it was thought the reduction factor could be pushed much further shrinking targets to incredibly small sizes, so the new focus for many companies was shrink devices that would be suitable for industrial use, whoever could perfect the tech first would command the market and so there was a fortune on the line for the inventor.
That was what he had been working on for the last few months testing and trying new setups to maximize device efficiency today he had finished the latest design.
Excitedly he presented the new device to his boss Natalie.

Natalie smiled at the device and reports of its capabilities
"Well now, before we can bring this to market it's going to need testing" She said as she pointed the device at him
He had no time to react before his device fired, a few moments later he was staring up at his colossal boss, Natalie grinned as she carefully picked the tiny man up.
He lay in her palm while she stared at him in amazement and examined him.
"Well you have really outdone yourself" she chuckled. "You're so tiny, you're like an ant, in fact, no I think an ant is bigger than you" she smirked.
"Just think of the opportunities this could have in industry or transport" she whispered excitedly
"I suppose you deserve a reward for all your hard work" she said ina mischievous tone as she dropped the tiny man onto her chair.

"You've been an amazing employee for me so far, so I think we should make an alteration to your working conditions" she laughed, her fingers descended and picked up the terrified man.
