Description Futility: drawing and shading scales on black people. Why did I draw them if nobody can see them?

Q: what is that wyvern wearing?
A: a saddle, you can't see the back of it.

The black death wyvern, also called the stone death wyvern, is a very rare species of Wyvern, only found in the tundra highlands of the Vikarg region, further north than most dare to travel. It is in the same family of mountain wyverns as the northern stone wyvern, but is a very distant relative, and the two often cannot crossbreed.

They are one of the rarest domestic Wyverns, due to their deadly venom, unpredictable and untrusting nature, and purely carnivourous diet.
They have many odd features, the most prominent being the difficulty of telling apart the males and females. The males lack long beards, horns, spiked backs, or noticeable testes, and are roughly the same size as the females.
They also hold the record for having the most dangerous venom so far discovered on Urk. It is an extremely deadly neurotoxin. It causes extreme pain, blindness, seizures, and rapid tissue degeneration even in very low doses like a small scratch, and symptoms can persist for years. Brain death and internal melting happens within seconds at normal doses. Their venom is dangerous to their Yudtk symbiotes as well as each other.
Their tails remain extremely dangerous long after death or disconnection.

Only five tribes live in the frozen wasteland that is the Vīkarg mountains, one of which is the Hütö tribe. Hütö means "scream" in Urken, the tribe gets its name for its unusual singing style of standing on a cliff and screaming long songs. Songs include chanting and humming , many instruments, are often very complex, and can last over 15 minutes. They believe they are communicating with distant dragons or spirits to learn secrets from distant lands, but really it is the neighbouring two tribes answering back.
Among their other strange beliefs is that painting themselves red and white will encourage fire spirits to bless their farmland, and the belief that wearing the bones of rats will scare away living rats and diseases.
They are the only tribe with domestic stone death wyverns.

All three I'd say. They blend with each other quite nicely!
