Colt modernized version of The Single Action Army Model of 1873.Chambered in .45 Long Colt.And .44 Special.
It first introduced in 1961.
And word is.The name "New Frontier"was inspired by John F Kennedy's Inauguration speech.When he was sworn in in 1961.
Barrel lengths are the same as The SAA.
However.This model has an adjustable rear sight.And a ramp front.
The gun was made off and on from 1961 onward.
And was reintroduced in 2017.

The only single action I own is a Heritage .22. It comes with two cylinders. .22 lr and ,22 mag. I gotta get me a 45LC one day

I know what you mean.I would love one of these myself,but the price tag I hear is pretty high.And I wish Colt would make this in 357.I know that I could get a Ruger Blackhawk.And while thats a fine gun itself.This is a true COLT.

I had a Super Blackhawk chambered in .41 magnum back in the 90s. Wish I wouldn't have traded it
