Polish model/turned actress/turned model/actress/model/actress... (etc.), Magdalena Mielcarz, as Ligia in 'Quo Vadis', the Polish movie.In the book 'Quo Vadis' by Henryk Sienkiewicz (Polish noblist!
) Ligia was said to be a brunette with deep blue eyes. In the movie, she was a blonde (and in the old Hollywood version as well), but that's WRONG, so I decided to give you the real image of Ligia.here's the original photo from the movie - although so much better than my version, it's just not accurate....

Najbardziej dziwi mnie w tym filmie to, że nie ucharakteryzowali aktorce włosów na taki kolor jaki miała w książce. Czytając, zauważyłam tą różnicę i (wcześniej obejrzałam film) byłam dość zdziwiona. Dziękuję za pokazanie, jakby wyglądała

Thanks so much, this is lovely! I was also surprised when I saw that in both versions the actress portraying Ligia is blonde... Not only would having her dye her hair and wear color contacts be truer to the book, but she also looks much more striking as a blue-eyed brunette. They got Vinicius' "tall, dark and handsome" looks right though. XD
