I just finished Stephanie Meyer's most recent novel The Host [link] which I absolutely adored to a most exteme degree. I highly recommend it to any bookwrym such as myself.This is my fan art of the character Wanderer in her natural state, a soul without a host. Enjoy! ^__^

Absolutely lovely! Finally a representation of a soul that actually feels right. The others I've found seem too parasitic (although it is technically a parasite there is a beauty in the souls that deserves to be depicted in it's true form) or just weird looking. Well done =]

Why thank ya! Now that you mention a fishiness to it she makes me think of Lion fish. Perhaps the Lion fish was floating around in my subconscious while I was drawing XD

omg Finally!!! I have looked everywhere, trying to find fanart of the Soul itself! -.- everyone just keeps drawing the humans or the body the souls in and totally ignoring the important part: the soul itself and how they look! I imagined them a lot different but I Really like your version. It kinda reminds me of the mushi in this anime called Mushi-shi, but a lot more elegant. Thats one kind of soul I would love to hold. v.v

This is a lot like what I picture a soul to look like, only in my head they don't have eyes. Which would be kind of weird, so I guess they actually do. Very nicely done; I can just picture Ian holding this little creature and whispering, "Wow."

I'm most pleased you enjoy the sketch, I too imagined her with no eyes but then decided to draw in a eye to see how it looked, ended up liking it better so I did leave said eye. :3 Thank ya for saying so, always makes my day when I get a comment on my art.

Oh my GOD. This is absolutely beautiful in it's simplicity. My personal view of the souls is a lot closer to the whole centipede/feather thing (I blame this on thinking centipedes are cute as it is), but this fits too. FAVED OH SO HARD.
