Description In Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, ever wonder why Admiral Dane goes down to the Pirate homeworld just to tell Samus what to do next? I know I did.

Well he has a virulent hated for the Space Pirates... probably went Big Boss and started tearing the planet apart, though maybe Samus deserves that title more

There was probably some deleted scene where he killed a few Pirates alongside her or something. Actually, the admiral fighting Space Pirates with Samus would be EPIC!

The funny thing is he says "I look forward to joining you on the battlefield" yet he doesn't do anything except give you orders...

I'm still curious as to why the Federation has no terrestrial combat vehicles. You would think that when you have energy weapons, nuclear bombs, Battleships, and organic supercomputers that a tank wouldn't be asking very much.

XD iknowright?

that's the thing i didn't really like about Corruption...i was taking orders every step of the way...and that is why i liked Prime 1 the best. true to formula metroid

It's weird, but at least he shows that he cares. Think of all of those generals and stuff in movies who bark orders ALL OF THE TIME but never expose themselves to any danger. Dane's just nice like that.

How did you get an MP3 screenshot from your wii to the computer. I always tried using an SD card, but I couldn't figure out how to get the pics on it.

It's not from my Wii, I just took a screenshot from Youtube using the printscreen key.

I wanted to shoot him when I found out they sent me, Rundas, Ghor, and the Gandrayda to different worlds without knowing the full extent of our corruption. It's called Medical Supervision assholes!

GuiMontag In reply to Ganja-sama [2009-01-27 03:17:02 +0000 UTC]

You'd think they would have done something more than just send them on their missions unsupervised after what happened. Perhaps they could have assigned a Fed ship to follow you around and stay in orbit above each planet you go to, relaying information and sending backup when necessary. It could have been like in Super Mario Galaxy where you encounter toads that help you out across the levels and breaks the feeling of isolation, excepts the Toad would be replaced by marines. It would have made more sense as well as a more interesting gameplay experience.

If it was done right. Otherwise that would simply make the game easier than it already is. I can beat Dark Samus on hypermode difficulty in my sleep. the only real boss that's difficult is the first leviathan protector Morjin o whatever his name was. (Damn hole on his back...)

His face is way too wrinkly; You'd think that in the far future they'd have ways of keeping people younger longer. I makes me wonder how old he's supposed to be.

GuiMontag In reply to BilliardsKoopa [2008-08-19 23:40:54 +0000 UTC]

I guess Dane thought Samus would be all the PED power they needed. After all, there were probably only a few PED marines, and they might have been tied up elsewhere in battle.

Artemsis [2008-07-01 03:21:26 +0000 UTC]

That is exactly what I was thinking!

But he kind seems like the Patton type, personally leading his troops. Now if you remember, at some point the game mentions that most of the pirate force is at Phaaze. Perhaps while waiting for the sheild to drop they had already taken care of the the orbiting pirate fleet, and once the shield was down most of the troopers already had their orders. Or I might be over thinking it, lol.

GuiMontag In reply to Artemsis [2008-07-02 02:18:40 +0000 UTC]

The problem is that he's a flag officer, not an army general, so I don't think there's a reason for him to go planetside with the troops. Even if the orbiting pirate fleet had been taken care of, reinforcements could still arrive, and I doubt Dane would be of much help to the fleet on the ground.

I always thought that was weird. He didn't have problems giving Samus the instructions about the Leviathan and turning off the planetary sheild via comlink afterall. o_O;

You know, I have wondered that as well. Maybe he likes showmanship. Either way, the troops come down with him.

GuiMontag In reply to Dr-Nooooooooooooooo [2007-09-26 18:16:53 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, he probably just decided to hitch a ride with the troops, although that's still no reason for leaving the Olympus.

More puzzling though, is that the GF attacks Phaaze with such a pitifully small fleet, when in the intro the Olympus has a much larger fleet accompanying it...

TemplarXero In reply to GuiMontag [2012-11-25 22:18:00 +0000 UTC]

I believe that most of that fleet was destroyed or badly damaged during the fight for Norion.
