Last-minute entry for 's Holleywood Endings contest, because in the end I couldn't resist joining in on the fun.
I decided on drawing the finale of the climactic duel in Star Wars Episode III, with Bugs Bunny and Ace Bunny taking the places of Obi-Wan and Anakin. However, this time around there was no epic duel, just Bugs cutting that stupid sword of Ace's in half and removing three of his limbs with a few simple swipes, and then letting the lava take care of the rest.

I only wathced Loonnitics for maybe a month, then I quit because it just wasn't really Looney Tunes.
But other then that, I really love the shading and shadowing.

highlights of fire scalding the yellow rabbit. i'm disturbed how impressive the lighting works for the entire piece, particularly the parts that are left that have yet to char. but it's COOL.
I really love how this art retains the quality and feel for your earlier sci-fi work... there's no way I could see this picture ad think anyone but YOU did it, which is a task in itself drawing a character as well known as Bugs.
does this mean Ace is revived in some robotic suit for years to come by some horrible producers of bad tv shows?! considering your uncanny psychic abilities, I fear there will be more LU on the horizon after that new Looney Tunes show hits...
I found myself adjusting the direction and angle of my monitor and trying to tweak the brightness so i could see the background better... I only ever find myself doing that instinctively with your pictures. the bg is absolutely stunning, btw. as is the light saber. I almost don't want to know how you're able to pull off the effect of it not being completely the same mix of blue and light from top to bottom, making it seem like a real light saber would, and STILL not seeming out of place in the picture.

i hope that's not my cruel streak rubbing off and you really just hate LU... although it kinda begs the question of what people in their twenties in the early 90's must have thought of TTA... wait, what am i saying? no thought or quality went into LU and TTA didn't piggyback the LT cast (well...didn't need to anyway)

Thanks muchly for the kind words, as always! It was almost as satisfying to draw Bugs putting an end to Ace's sword as much as Ace himself. Though I doubt Ace will be revived, because unlike Obi-Wan, Bugs is smart enough to make sure he's dead for real, perhaps pushing him into the lava flow after the pyrotechnics are over.
Sorry to disappoint, but the "stunning" lightsaber is really trivial to pull off in Photoshop, simply by drawing a white line on a separate layer and applying the "outer glow" effects tool. Here's fittingly-titled "Cheap Tricks" tutorial [link] that'll show you everything you need to know to create cool glowy effects
Don't worry, I really do hate LU, not with a fiery passion like the founders of the club, but enough that drawing this was a sweet experience. And yes, TTA, while far from flawless, far surpasses LU in an infinite amount of ways. In its original run it certainly didn't experience the hatedom that LU so deservingly receives.

haha ha. you're too modest... i swear i can do the glowy effects but it seems like you used a gradient or something so it kinda catches the bg in places, making it nearly transparent, but not. or maybe that's the effect of alcohol and lack of sleep. i'll have to look again. i'll check out the site too. you're always so helpful, but now i can't get the band "Cheap Trick" out of my head!

Nope, no gradients were used for the blade, it was simply done by playing with both the "size" and "spread" percentages, and getting the right combination nets you that nearly transparent but not quite-look in some places

shut up! Loonatics Unleashed was awesome. and well written enough! it was a necessary step in the Looney Tunes evolution in pop culture. and dark and edgy works. this show fits with the kids born in the 2000s. I was born in the 90s but I still love LU.
