A quick and dirty of Tim Drake AKA Robin III and one of his very first adversaries, King Snake. You know. When Tim Drake was actually Robin. And Tim Drake. (Readers of the new 52 will get it.)

That first mini was great!!! I am still on the fence with the change of his origin, but I hate the fact he was never just Robin!

Sounds like you're not on the fence at all. Tim's original origin was impactful because he earned the Robin mantle. The new 52 origin undoes that awesomeness.

Tim actually had one of my favorite origins in comics and his metamorphosis from Robin to Red Robin was so well done I kinda felt it dumbed his detective skills down! So I am just gonna own that I don't like the new origin!!!

The first trade paperback I ever owned was the collection of the origin of Tim Drake and the first Robin miniseries. I had no idea who King Snake was, but it solidified my life-long love of Robin (which was already pretty strong by that point, to be honest ).

You did an excellent job, here. Even has a bit of the Norm Breyfogle look to it.

Robin is a great character and I am a huge fan of the Robin saga. And thank you, I loved Breyfogle's hyper-kinetic style, so the comparison is humbling.

Nice to have someone draw something if we get nostaglic for the old days. (Though I'm not ruling out any hope for a return of said old days, if we get bored of the New 52.) It's nice to remember Tim as a Robin, instead of a Red Robin. Even if those roots no longer exist, we still remember 'em.

The old days will always live on. I believe in progress, but this whole New 52 Tim Drake thing is a misstep. It's an interesting premise but putting "Red" in front of Robin does not make it NOT RObin.

I remember those times. That's when I started regularly getting into Detective Comics.
