Im Fine, I swear.This is an abuse awareness campaign done for Shannon Wolf's class project.

I did this a while ago ! I even remember the date, October 1st. I was so excited that night because the next day... I would be meeting J, in real life, for the first time!!!
After a while I didn't have great lighting (we were sharing the studio with someone else so the lights were ...barely there for me to do makeup) ,Not quite fond of the colour of the fake blood, but I'm blaming the fact I couldnt see what i was doing
. But I really liked the hip bruise ! They were happy with the black eye, I wasn't, but if the client is happy, then that's good. (I would have still prefered to be happy myself haha).

Normally I'd cackle evilly at your wonderfully macabre makeup effects, but this piece really touched me. It's just so true... So many victims of abuse just wear a smile to hide what's going on. :/ I guess because they're afraid of retaliation or, for some reason, feel as though it's their fault. :/ It's so sad... but this is a wonderful tribute to a horrible predicament. Well done.

very well done, however I think her expression is too "clean", if she was a bit teary, i'd be even more ironic. but the whole concept and the pale mouth smiling is already very bitter to see with the bruises.
