Are you hinting she'd be the survivor? If so will she say that line Kurt Russel said at the end of the movie?

I do lots of that stuff...I have this sort of macabre sense of humor. Just the idea of Velma throwing around dynamite...

This would make one hell of a Scooby cartoon if they got involved with the Thing.

The gang all warily stared at Fred, eyeing him for any odd changes or patterns in his behavior. With little hesitation, Velma applied the red hot piece of metal into the petri dish that contained his blood. There was no reaction, unlike the previous one. As everyone sighed and looked down at the burnt remains nearby, Fred spoke up.
"Gang, it's been a long night...and you've all been through a lot..." His voice raised as he finished his sentence "but I would like to spend the remainder of this mystery not TIED TO THIS FUCKING CHAIR!!"

LOL I actually thought of that scene the other day...I love that line.
Daphne pleaded out of the locked room. "I'll be good...I promise I won't hurt anyone." Then there was a pause before she spoke again. "Keep an eye on Shaggy..."

I've just had a really great idea.
We take him on the rescue expedition to LV-426, send him to investigate the Atmosphere Processor, then dust off and Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to make sure.

Without even reading the narrative, I saw that this was a parody of John Carpenter's version of "The Thing," which is why I prefer the original Howard Hawks movie of 1951. Still, it is, like so many of your other artworks, a funny mix of the Scooby-Doo gang with a sci-fi movie with a cult following. And I agree with your response to TheForbiddenTenet, if this scene were made into a movie, it would definitely be an improvement over the dreck showing in theaters nowadays.
Well done, good buddy.

Seconded; The Carpenter film replaces Hawks' claustrophobia and paranoia with "gross 'em out" effects.

Thanks! Just the thought of Velma running around with a few sticks of dynamite. Oh, God those movies were horrible; the early ones where cast well, but the writing was terrible. We took my kid to see them, so I had to sit through those things.

Personally, as much as I like the Velma Dinkley character, I wouldn't trust her with a bean shooter much less a stick of dynamite. And having to sit through one of these movies, even if it was for your child, must have been excruciating for you. I feel for you, friend.

It reminds me of the old Monty Python joke. John Cleese on a sketch told someone that he would have written for the BBC, but unfortunately he "had a degree."

One of my favorite pieces of British humor is the scene in Holy Grail where the guy has the cart for the dead people. John Cleese has that old guy on his shoulder, and asks, "Can you wait around? He won't be long." Eric Idle responds with, "I've got to go to the Robinsons, they've lost 9 today."

Ah, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." A lot of Americans didn't really get that brand of British humor. Fortunately I listened to records of Monty Python's shtick so I pretty much got it. And I loved it! My favorite scene from "Holy Grail" was of the French soldiers taunting Arthur and his knights . . ."I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" Of course, it helps to know the Arthur legend and a little medieval history to really appreciate the Monty Python jab at medieval England.

My two favorite scenes aren't the ones that people normally think of as the best. The first is the political argument between the peasant and King Arthur "Help, help, I'm bein' repressed" and the part where the king of Swamp Castle is trying to explain to his lunkhead guards that they have to stay there and make sure that his son doesn't leave the room.

My favorite scene also involves Swamp Castle when the king who's apparently frustrated by his (obviously effeminate) son's refusal to marry a princess with a lot of land. "You don't like her?" yells the king. "What's wrong with her? She's beautiful. She's rich. She's got huge t. . .(he almost said "tits.") tracts of land!" Classic funny dialogue between both the king and his son and later with his boneheaded guards.
