Adon Daemarum is an ancient encyclopedia of the denizens of the Underworld. Its name means "the Door of Hell" and it was written sometime in the 2nd Age of Elmar, by the scribes of Anarador, to document the numerous servants of the enemy. The realm of Daemar is divided into nine regions or "Circles" moving inward and downward into the bowels of the lower reaches, and each is ruled over by one of the nine Daemonlords. The 1st region of Daemar is the Circle of Death and its twelfth servant is Goleron, the Burning Skull
