Once upon a time; back when things used to be "normal" in the mysterious underground kingdom, there lived a beautiful princess named Ilona. Living with her father and sister, Ilona thought she would be happier with the life she had. One day, a boy came to her world looking for fun and treasure. As fate would have it, the two of them eventually become the best of friends, eventually becoming the finest of lovers! That is, until his ambition severed her love as he decided that he would take the 'ultimate treasure' for himself-a decision Ilona was against, as it would anger her father! But later that night, he burns off her dress using iron and proceeds to acquire her father's mask as daybreak comes, only to be met with heavy resistance from the Emperor himself! After a fierce battle, the man attempts to flee with his prize as a sinkhole opens up and leaves the entire underground kingdom buried in an avalanche, freezing Ilona and everyone else in the process! After this painful loss, five other men stumble upon the frozen kingdom, thawing out Ilona and everyone else as they explore this new terrain. As the entire surviving group makes a painstaking migration to newer landscapes, Ilona becomes enraged over this treachery, and as her heart of gold turns to stone, she soon comes to the realization that she must no longer be good and will need both the motives and the tools for her revenge. But can she find enough darkness within herself to be as bad as all the other villains in Ranger history were?
