Having recently watched the first Naked Gun and enjoyed it I naturally picked up the sequel, Naked Gun 2 1/2. Leslie Nielsen is one of my favorite comedic actors and his performance in this film is just as funny and solid as his other best efforts but the jokes themselves are mainly slapstick and shock, it lacked the intelligence of the first film. It still had some great moments but all in all it tried a bit too hard to be funny and some jokes came off as desperate or lazy.

Final Verdict: Yes it's funny, but it's not up to par with the original. Leslie Nielsen gives a great physical performance and even when not making a joke he is just somebody I naturally laugh at, he's perfect for these types of film. I do recommend it for Nielson fans but expect chuckles and smiles more than belly laughs.
