The IHU Ironhide APC traces its origins back to a visionary group of engineers from the SPEAR faction. Their initial design focused on pushing the boundaries of armoured vehicle technology, incorporating advanced armour, modular capabilities, and a distinctive wheel motor system. Despite their ingenuity, the SPEAR government, sceptical of the unconventional approach, chose not to adopt the design for military use.
Recognizing the untapped potential in the abandoned plans, a noble family from COSS acquired the SPEAR engineers' creation. Collaborating with IHU engineers, they embarked on a journey of ongoing development. The noble family's resources, combined with IHU's technological expertise, led to the evolution of the APC into a formidable vehicle that surpassed the original SPEAR design.
Key enhancements emerged during this collaboration, including the strategic placement of the driver in the rear, the addition of refillable smoke/gas launchers for defensive manoeuvres, and a modular centre allowing for swift configuration changes.
