I'm sorry, but I just can't get enough of this picture. It makes me feel like a kid again, seriously. My mom used to read a book to me called "Goodnight Moon" and it always sent my dreams into a whole other place. But now I realize I was actually a little afraid of the book. I would kind of hide under the covers while my mom read it to me. I think that's why I loved the book so much though, because when your a kid the moon isn't a dead rock floating through space... It's a world that only comes out at night and gives a home to to all your dreams and even your fears. And this picture uses warm and cold the same way that book did. She's scared, but she's brave too. It's warm, but it also makes you wish you were warm and curled up in bed. Aren't the books and pictures and stories that make us curl up in bed even as adults the best ones? Isn't that what we look for in fairy tales?? Don't you think you achieved these things in this picture??? Ah well, maybe I'm just tired, who reads these things anyway...
