A battle raged, a war fought within my own head. The bloodshed was pointless; my wounds, they stung. I fought all through the day, and on into the dark night. I searched for a reason, a glow in the dark, any semblance of light. Anything, anything, to find my way home once more.
I tend to my wounds, a menial chore. I’ll heal from this battle, but soon there will be many more. So many more. The longer the war runs, the less I can stand. I wish for an alternative, but there is none. None but surrender, which I cannot accept. Death to death, life to life, to stop fighting is to lose myself to that endless darkness.
I am not one that many would dare trifle with. I am one that many thought nonexistent. I am one so many feared, or revered, filled with dread or hope and love. I was once indifferent, uncertain yet curious, of those similar beings who wandered my worlds. But now others of the same sort of turned upon me, and seek my removal and demise, and I, a (God/Demon) find myself unable to stop them.
The struggle continues on without pause, leaving no time for ease. How I long, oh, how I long for peace. The simpler days where I would wander, and build, gathering resources and constructing homes for myself. Though such a life was lonely, when I realized I need not be alone, it is too late; they’re forcing me from my home.
