OMG Can I just say something?
The buffalo god from Neil Gaiman's "American Gods". This is ridiculously close to how I envision that god.

He has a beautiful balance in form of bestial in a natural sense, and aged wisdom. Elegantly done. The orange sunshine coming through the gap gives the scene quite a revelatory grace as well.
