This is the personal piece. I've been working on this image for... can't remember. I always have an image of this kind to work on
This one I started some time during winter. I always dream about the sun and warm weather. Living in Moscow I used to see warm and sunny days only in the middle of the summer. We have about 9 weeks of warm and bright days. The rest of the year is cold, grey and dirty. Everytime I return to work on this image I fell warm of these sunny summer days. Since now is the middle of the summer I think this is the time when I can finish it and go further.© Paul Guzenko 2012

Goddamn I absolutely love your landsknecht paintings. They pop up whenever you google "Landsknecht" and it's absolutely glorious.

First, minor (MAJOR) envy for your skills with lighting and tone, not to mention those gloriously animate faces-- you can feel the swagger and colorful menace in their eyes and crooked teeth. Beautiful. Simply beautiful (in an intimidating sort of way.)
Second, is it alright if I use this for a blogpost image? It's on my D&D focused blog, musketandmagic.wordpress.com/ , where a mix of nonsense, philosophy and writing goes on in a more or less randomly updated fashion.

excellent work ! i agree with AnirBrokenear, the colours are so warm but they look like heartless villains - which is probably historically accurate.

the warm colors create suck an inviting atmosphere but the smiles on their faces don't look so inviting
