I drew a picture of angry Isaac to express my annoyance towards boss enemies that make me die about five times before I manage to beat them. (maybe that’s just my problem tho? I don’t know, I wouldn’t be surprised since I’m generally bad at games..) this picture happened after I had died the third time fighting Deadbeard at Crossbone Isle. Don’t you dare to say it’s an easy fight. Don’t. you. dARE. (or maybe you can say so if you’re good at games but it’s my first playtrough so excuse me.. ,_,)character belongs to Camelot Software Planning

I actually beat him on the second try. Then again, I was around level 35 or so and I just let Garet use Flash each turn.

I probably fought him about 9 times. Maybe more. It's easy people to say a game is easy when we're not actually there to watch them play it.

Yeah, Deadbeard was pretty hard for me. I used the Sulhallen desert whirlwind on my first playthrough of GS to get to Crossbone Isle. The second file was through the Karagol Sea.
I had some issues with him too, considering my party were at level ~20+ at the time. I can't remember how many Water of Lives I used but gah.
...Try Dullahan in GSTLA though. xD You'll be wishing you were facing 5 Deadbeards instead. Well that's how I felt

Isaac is epressing my feelings towards dullahan exactly XD Deadbeard was pretty tough the first time as well, to be fair. Ivan didn't stand a chance! I just nuked him with summons in the end. It's the solution to all problems.

He's expressing pretty much everyone's feelings towards hard boss fights.. ´u`'' Gotta feel for him, tho; must be hard to die so many times ahaha... ha..

I gave up fighting Deadbeard forever after I had been fighting him for two hours.
This picture does really sum up what my feelings were at that point.

Well, I beat him after trying several times on three days or something. :''D I couldn't have tried that for two hours straight, I would've been annoyed to death.

Surviving that long was really the most impressive thing I ever did with him. 8D;;; Otherwise I just quit going onto his ship whenever I played through Crossbone Isle.

Oh Deadbeard. I sure remember him. The whole Crossbone Island was quite an ordeal, each guardian gave me a hard time. Deadbeard was icing on a cake. All this this suffering for what, an armor which I never used. Anyway, great pic. Looking forward to more.

Crossbone Isle was hard indeed. And yep, I would've expected a great treasure after such a hard fight! It was a pirate ship, after all..

It's okay, Deadbeard whooped all of our butts the first few times we fought him. On the subject, heck, it took me three times to beat Fusion Dragon.
I do like angry Isaac, though- He's very expressive and funny to watch. Bonus points for having his hair color as it is in the games (that's my weird thing to focus on).

He sure did. :''D I haven't yet beaten Fusion Dragon... and I sure have tried at least three times already. Possibly over. ..But SOON. And I don't know, the worst part at losing to Fusion Dragon isn't the dying, more like the fact that you have to go through all that talking before the fight again..

Indeed. Oh, yes, having to slog through all that dialogue was the worst. I like Saturos and Menardi, but could they *not* talk your ear off before battle?
Also, you're welcome! I concur, blond Isaac looks too much like Link from the "Zelda" game for my taste.
