Gwenthyr — Wear Shakespeare

Description This is one of the ideas about which I think they are great when I come up with them and get facepalms from others afterwards

You see, this is actually a quote from Shakespeare's play Henry V made into bracelet. I can't blame anyone not seeing it without explanation. Because it's binary. I am crazy like that. Silver thin beads are 1s and the clear round ones are 0s, the sea blue ones are dividing the bytes (as every character has one byte, e.g. 8 digits) and where there are two blues, its dividing words.

To illustrate:
Word "own" would be like this (with black instead of silver)
own = 01101111 01110111 01101110 =

So there. What do you think?

The quote in question here is this:
Every subject's duty is the king's but every subject's soul is his own.

I will probably do more of these because there are other quotes that strongly appeal to me in the works of this brilliant play-writer, but I don't think they will end up in my gallery, unless I find other form than a bracelet.

I absolutely love the idea. I mean, I don't think that it matters if other people wouldn't understand what it says - I would go and giggle about it all the same Or perhaps even more because I am one of the few who knows what it means?

If it wasn't for the fact that I don't have a quote like that I would definitely commission you to do one of these for me (if you would be willing, that is) Buuuut I can't think of what I would want written...

Still! Awesome idea!

Thank you! It always make me happy when you like one of my things And yes, I am smiling for no apparent reason myself, wearing it around.
I would be willing, by the way, so if you ever find something you want like this, I am all for it

I think it's gorgeous!

Well, I guess the closest I am to a quote I would use it "I am not eternal. I am dead for Eternity." ... which isn't very uplifting perhaps, but it's Zeithan

Thank you

Yes, I remember that one all right...
And yeah, perhaps it's not uplifting, but it's important, I understand that
To tell the truth, the one I made for myself is not very uplifting for me either, it speaks of freedom of choice but also of obligation to superiors while maintaining responsibility for one's action, therefore of need to actually make the choice before acting. Hardest thing ever, sometimes.

Shall I make Zeithan's words into a bracelet just to try, then? You can decide if you want it or if I should disassemble it afterwards (Don't worry I am not going to wear it, or even keep it if you won't want it for yourself)

It's a hard thing to do, yes, but a very responsible one.
And I like the quote

You may if you want to I'm definitely not going to complain
But I just have to recommend using purple beads instead of blue in that case Because, well... I probably don't even have to explain it at this point
You know it already, I'm sure
If you really do it I would very much like to have it (especially if it's purple )

This is brilliant and excellent! I absolutely love the idea! When I first looked at the bracelet I thought the quote might be in Morse code; maybe you could try that too if you like.
It's nerdy and beautiful and combines something timeless and old with something as modern as binary code. I also like the blue beads!

Oh, thank you very much! I am happy you like it.
Well, morse code would certainly be shorter, so it wouldn't be so big and I could make even longer quote. But binary works better for me. You know, for all the years I work with computers (admin servers even), command line and the communication in zeros and ones still makes me grin and feel like it's magic. I guess I am that much of a child and always will be
