Going by color alone I would say it looks like a basking shark as it is molted brown to gray while whale sharks are more blue. Though both are toothless species of shark and are vegetarian - they eat plankton. over all I like it.

i've seen pictures of both and i know the color is off, but i wasn't going for 100% accuracy
as seen with other sea creatures i've made, they're weird colors, and i was trying to use up some yarn

I get it. I like to stay true to the natural coloring, but I try to stash bust when ever I can. (This was the first piece I saw of your works when I posted.)
