I prefer the other composition, with just the full on flowers, and without the rock. But still, an amazing capture of light man.

I'm wondering how you managed this effect, it doesn't seem sunset light, since the upper mountains aren't lit, and it seems rather big for lightpainting or even a campfire.

rocqua - fair enough....this was the first light at sunrise through a small hole in the clouds.. To be sure, the mountain ridge HAD been illuminated some 8 to 10 seconds previously, its just I had not yet completed my 50 yard sprint to position the tripod, as I had the camera pointed in another direction anticipating an entirely different event. This is what it looked like as the hole in the cloud closed. I got this frame. Total.

So, no mystery, just an actual captured moment, as unusual as that moment might be. and that of course, is what I do.

Its a sign of the times that your first thought was manipulation, because thats whats happening in the world.

I think i came across differently then i intended (my signature may have something to do with that).
I wasn't accusing you of a manip, I was simply surprised to see these conditions, they seemed rather change.

However, there was an implicit accusation here, there's no denying that, and I was wondering. and for that I would like to apologize. It is however indeed a sad thing that these days when we see something incredible, we immediately start doubting. Though it is not without reasons, since I am sure there are people with a less.... established moral than they should have.

So in sum, I was not so much accusing you of making a manip. Instead I was inquiring as to the situation during the shot. (this way I tried to sound less accusing, and if it were a manip then this question could have revealed that.)

once again, my sincere appologies for sounding accusing.

BTW, I really hate those moments, where your sprinting to get a shot because you were setup in the wrong direction

rocqua, sorry if I was harsh. And your question was not impertinent at all. I did a camera club presentation recently and thats what was on everyones mind. Is it real? Did that moment exist? It IS the times, and as such these questions are unavoidable. I fault you not at all in any way. Please accept my apology for my over reaction.

ahh, these are crazy times.

first i appear to come across as accusing, then as accused. All the while i'm mostly trying to be honest and friendly

it's almost as if the internet suffers a similar problem as photography. You are always have to keep in mind there are people who over-react, just like you have to keep in mind there are people who would fake great photos.

Beautifully captured light! the yellow highlights of the flowers really add life to the dominated midtones of the foreground... great stuff
