Godzilla (C) Toho.co LTD, all rights reserved

Aliases: "Godzilla" (Given later on)

Height: 70ft

Weight: 289 metric tonnes

Classification: Mutant

Origin: Unknown

Origination point: Odo Island, South Pacific

Speices: Unknown, too disfigured to make a solid judgement. Clearly saurian.

Gender: Assumed male

Threat level (1-10): Tier 8; poses a very serious biological threat

Radioactivity: Extremely high. Mere minutes of exposure will have devastating effects on other bodies. Usualy beings with loss of hair and nails along with vomiting. Later effects include dryness of skin which will eventually flake off in large amounts leading to grotesque disfiguration; death will follow shorty after. Peices of skin that fall from it's body are very radioactive as well.

Diet: Carnivore. Has been known to feast on livestock, whales, large fish, and large land animals. Confirmed maneater.

Observed "abilities":

- Abnormal cell reproduction which ultimately leads ot a very fast healing factor. It can heal almost any damage done to it in mere seconds. However it does not seem capable of healing it's hideously disfigured body. Regeneration of lost limbs is not improbable.

- "Radioactive anomaly -067". The creature is capable of discharging a stream of blue flames from it's mouth. These flames are hot enough to melt even the heaviest of armor in mere seconds. Essencially, the projectile attack has the incinerating properties of an atomic bomb. The means in which it creates such a flame is still unknown. The creature's saliva is highly combustable once it it exposed to oxygen. The flames discharged by the creature are highly volatile and will explode violently apon contact with a surface.

- Carries a mutated strain of bacteria that infects the contaminated wounds of those who have been around the creature for too long. The bacteria is highly contagious; it is able to be spread via contact with the creature's blood or the blood of those infected.

- Very resistant to pain due to most of it's nerve endings being lost as with most of it's charred flesh

- Muscles are very dense, to the point where they can stop most ballistic rounds. Surprisingly, it does not restrict the creature's ability to move much at all.

Gojira was the source of worship of the ancent people of Odo Island. Every month they would sacrifice livestock and virgins to thie beast in hopes that it would not rise to feast apon their villiage. However one day, no sacrifice was made and the monster did indeed rise from the depths and burn the villiage down. It was never seen again since then. In 1954, Gojira was no more than a boogeyman used to scare disobedient children. However when ships began to mysteriously disappear near the waters of Odo Island, talks of Gojira began to surge. Gojira was a demon who would manifest into Man's worst fears and them terrorize him. Should Gojira's physical form be destroyed, it would simply manifest into a more terrifying monster. It was when Dr Yamane, his Daughter Emiko and her fiancee Ogata arrived on the island to investigate did the hideous abomination reveal itself. Yamane was awestruck by this living prehistoric animal, and was determined to research it. However the others thought otherwise: Gojira had to be destroyed. Yamane requested the help of a professional hunter by the name of Steve Ryfe to come and capture the beast. Armed with darts made of a potent tranquilizing agent, Ryfe traveled from his home country of Australia to Odo Island where outposts where set up to find the beast. One particular outpost; No 12, vanished. When they went to investigate, the found the outpost burned, and its occupants horrifically slaughtered. Gojira had come for them.

As if on cue, the monster arrived. The islanders fired apon it with old rifles but none had any effect on the creature. Ryfe aimed for an exposed vein on the creature's neck and fired, the dart finding its mark. However the dose inside the dart was not enough. After 6 direct hits from the tranquilizer, Gojira collapsed into unconsiousness. Gojira was then taken to mainland Japan where it would be placed in a research lab just ouside the Tokyo area. Yamane seized his chance and studied Gojira, fascninated by every aspect of it. He admired the creature. Not for what he did, but for what he was: A living Dinosaur. Yamane learned a great deal about Gojira, however he still had questions which could not be answered. The researchers had called it quits for the night and left the lab, leaving the bright lights inside. Gojira was chained to the floor and was still weak from the massive dose of tranquilizer it had taken earlier. However the bright lights reminded it of the Atomic Bomb which disfigured it so hideously and the monster soon entered a berserk rage, breaking free of it's restraints and laying waste to the laboratory. Busting out of the laboratory, Gojira entered Tokyo bay.

The next morning the scientists where alerted to this and armed forces began detonating charges in Tokyo bay in hopes of killing the monster. After 30 minutes of endless bombardment, Gojira was presumed dead. However 4 nights later, the monster was revealed to be far from dead, as it attacked a shipyard in Tokyo bay, devouring anyone it could catch before disappearing into the murky waters. Seeing that the bombardment failed, the JSDF mobilized a large number of troops and vehicles to the Tokyo bay area to intercept Gojira should it surface again. That night, the monster did return, and was put into its berserk state once more by the bright lights of Tokoy. Armed forces bombareded the corpse-like creature with their heaviest firepower. Bullets merely got caught in its rotten flesh and tank shells where useless as the creature displayed an uncanny regenerative power. The forces fell back to the massive electrical towers placed to prevent the monster from entering. However the creature was smarter than it appeared, and burned down the towers with a fire breath hotter than hell itself before devouring soldiers and crushing the remaining opposition. The last transmission from this doomed platoon was a poor soul claiming Gojira was "unstoppable" and that the monster seemed to have a countermeasure against anything they threw at it. Gojira then entered Tokyo and began to devour all who where unfortunate enough to not escape it. Gojira displayed an animosity towards humans, destroying structures and incinerating fleeing crowds of people. The blood that dripped from its decaying flesh carried a deadly virus that began to infect hundreds within minutes of its arrival. Gojira laid waste to much of the city before being forced into hiding by a group of Fighter Jets, whom severed the beast's arm in the process.

After a long argument which involved a small amount of violence, Emiko and Ogata where able to get their long time friend Dr Serizawa to use his terrifyingly powerful "Oxygen Destroyer" against Gojira, whom was being hunted by the SDF and angry civilians. The SDF managed to track Gojira to an old steel mill near Tokyo bay where they flushed it out of hiding. To their surprise, the creature's arm had completely gown back. Before Gojira could kill those whom had disturbed it, the planes arrived once more and drove Gojira into the bay, where a ship with Ogata and Dr Serizawa waited. The two men plunged into the depths, but only Ogata returned, Serizawa having stayed behind to die with his invention so he would not be able to reproduce such a horrible device. Gojira'd wails of agony could be heard from the surface as the now corrosive water ate away at it's decreped form. It surfaced to let out one, final roar before sinking into the depths, dead. The flesh stripped from its body by the Oxygen Destroyer until only bones remained. Almost as soon as Gojira met his demise, reports came in that the deadly illness that the creature's blood carried had vanished, and all those afflicted mysteriously recovered. Yamane however, refused to beleive that something like Gojira with such astounding powers was the last of its kind. He was determined that there had to be more...

The coloring makes this much more interesting. I can now get a better sense of detail with it and it also ties this Godzilla into previous mythos. I presume you had Burning Godzilla in mind when you colored this.

Thank you very much. A few friends who I previously showed this to as I made progress on it also noticed a slight resemblence to Burning Godzilla. I can see where they're coming from, since the exposed muscle and other tissue on the body does give the illusion of the glowing rashes on Burning Godzilla, but it was unintentional.

As for the actual flame, Godzilla secretes two fluids from glands under the tongue that when they touch, they combust into a jet of fire that reaches up to 4000 degrees celcius.

I was considering doing that, however I generally prefer not to color my works because the sharpie markers I use to outline the peice ususally destroy all the small detail that I can only replicate with pencil.
