I have been in that area - It is so beautiful. I went to a HUGE catholic church in Montreal when I was there. It was awesome. I have friends in Saint Laurent.

The church you are referring to might be the "Basilique" between downtown and the old port.

I will have to look up the address from an old letter if I still have them and let you know. I haven't heard from them for quite a bit. Their last name is Laurent too. LOL - I keep thinking it is something like Meadow Lark Rd near Manitoba Bay.
Yes it was the Basilique!! It is huge and beautiful! I love cathedrals like that. I was with a friend of mine from another country. I met him in Toronto with my car and we were all over the place in that area. It was a great experience and a lot of fun. We were there when the fall leaves were in full color. Our hotel was in the downtown area and if I am not mistaken, it was a Hilton or Sheraton hotel.
Canada is a very beautiful place. I loved Montreal. The downtown area was fun and I loved the French speaking people. I wanted to move there!

You are way up there aren't you? 18th floor!! I once took a temporary job with a law firm in Louisville, KY and they were located on the 28th floor and I felt like I was swaying all of the time. LOL
If it was cloudy, I sometimes felt like I was floating on the clouds because you could not see other buildings or below.
