Description Once, long, long ago a man met a woman. When they saw each other, they knew that they had to be together.

From those first moments of anxiety and rushing heartbeats, a bit of that magic fell into the earth. In the distant lands of high, rocky mountain peaks, a tiny seed sprung from the ground. Yes, in the harshest, most unforgiving environment, a brave seedling began to peek from beneath the rough ground.

With each moment that the man and woman grew to love each other more, the seed grew. The first time that they held each other, the seed grew its first leaves. The first time that they kissed, the seed grew its first buds. Finally, when the man and the woman promised each other that they would only belong to each other forever, the seed burst into bloom.

As the years went on and earth saw more men and women, more tiny seeds sprung from the ground. Each moment of happiness gave the seeds more life than rain and more growth than sunshine. However, each bitter word caused it to wither, each tear shed caused its leaves to shrivel, and each heart broken caused its roots to rot in the ground.

In time, the tall mountains were covered in the lovely flowers. Brave explorers climbed the perilous rock to reach the beautiful flowers. Some believed that giving the enchanted blossoms to the one you love would cause you to be together with that person forever. Some believed that grinding it up and slipping the leaves and roots in food and perfumes would work as a love potion. People wanted more of the plants, foolishly not realizing that the plants were not simply plants, but the love of the whole world.

Flowers now grew not only for the love of a man and a woman, but for the love of a mother and child, the compassion of a father and son, the tenderness of friendship, and growing passion of the earth's inhabitants. More sprung up every day as people discovered the most important feelings of living.

Sadly, the world did not stay so blissful. In time, men and women grew not to love, but to lust. Promises were made and broken as hearts broke and shattered every day. Mothers gave away their children. Fathers shunned their sons. Friends lied and stole from one another. The earth had become a selfish, dark place.

Because of the growing heartlessness, the enchanted flowers suffered. The mountain was littered with the blowing dust of dead and decaying plants. Flies swarmed the rotting roots and no one ventured to the mountain as it was now a wasteland.

Despite the brokenness of the world, there was hope.

On occasion, a seedling bursts from the rock and fallen debris to the surface. It is a rarity now for it to bloom, but sometimes the flowers stretch open their petals to the sky in triumph. Rarer still is the explorer seeking a flower. When a passerby reaches the mountain, their heart usually sinks when they see what used to be miles and miles of beautiful blossoms. However, upon seeing a flower and feeling the hope that comes with it, the person usually brings back to earth a pure heart, one that will love wholly.

No science can save the plants. No miracle remedy can be found. You have the ability, though. Love purely. Love wholly. Love honestly.

If you follow these simple steps, may you one day reach the mountain peak and see the joy that your flower gives the world.
