Description
The sight before me now was one I’d never forget, even if I lived to be over one thousand. It was just something that was too beautiful ever to get lost in memories. The soft cool sand that seemed to flow right out of the deep blue waters, the way you could see the sun coming up slowly out of its deep depths in the distance and lighting the sky so beautiful and brightly. I was all a stunning sight.
But none of that was why I’d remember this moment. I’d remember it because of the carefree dragoness that was there with me. She seemed so happy and alive as she followed a small turtle along the sand and into the water. The wonder and excitement all of this was causing her was almost palpable. Though this was just as new to me, she was definitely the one that loved it most. Of course, nothing ever deterred her excitement, and that was something I found very special about her, even if it did make her a bit oblivious at times.
“Eli, get over here and come look at it swim!” The dragoness called to me. I glanced over at her and smiled a bit around my muzzle.
“I’m fine right here Feather.” I assured her. She may have been happy to be near water when she couldn’t swim, but neither could I, so I didn’t care for large bodies of water. Still, she definitely made it tempting to come over.
“Please?” Feather pressed, looking back at me with those bright eyes of hers. Yes, she made it very tempting.
“Fine.” I relented and cautiously padded over to stand by her. Together, we watched that turtle swim off into the waters and out of sight, diving deep below to wherever the sun came from.
