Description The Golden Parakeet's thrown mace packs quite a hefty wallop! It impacts with the Wasp's cranium, and our sexy heroine is instantly KOed!

"Ouch!" is pretty good description of the pic. A Mace to the back of the head is not going to be a pleasant experience!

I like the mace design, it reminds me of something called a cudgel that was carried in the Middle Ages. Simple but effective.
Wasp's costume is less effective, giving her little protection from assault or bodily injury. That sort of attire, outside of a strip club, would actually get her arrested. Works out favorably for us, though, if not for her.

I actually own a slightly-similar item, the "Iberian Mace", that I bought from "Arms & Armor" website a few years back:

Medieval weapons collecting is another of my interests, or it least it was when I had more money to spare, a few years ago. I need to post pics of my collection, sometime!

And the Wasp's skimpy, rather provocative attire is not particularly useful in any way other than the obvious titillation factor. But, as you said, that works out favorably for us, the spectators, as she continually gets knocked unconscious in her many misadventures!

It certainly looks authentic (and painful). I've seen similar period weapons for sale in the Cold Steel catalogue, but they are beyond my meager budget at this time, as is most everything non-essential.
You should post your collection here, or better yet, draw your collection as a sidebar to your other pictures.

As for the costumes worn by the heroines, it is as you said: more than striking fear in a criminal, they tend to engender lust and stimulate the prurient imagination. These characters are more than righteous vigilantes, but are also sexual icons; even moreso when they're unconscious. And it is mostly because of those delicious, form-fitting costumes.

If I could have had a wish, years ago, it would have been to have Seven of Nine step out--just once--in the superheroine role. She had the attitude, she had the body, the costume and the physical ability. She was right for the part. And she would (of course) have had to be rendered unconscious for a time.

I agree about Jeri Ryan as "Seven of Nine" -- she would have made an excellent superheroine! She ranks really far up there, not quite "Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman" level, but not too far behind, in my estimation.

Panther Girl, Occulta, Polecat and the Wasp definitely "tend to engender lust and stimulate the prurient imagination", as you stated in your note. And the idea of seeing these beautiful, powerful women falling unconscious to the blows of their opponents, is great fodder for the imagination -- at least if one is a "superheroines-in-KO-peril enthusiast!
