Description "Gaze onto her and see my perfection but if you find yourself in fields of swaying amber and jet black trees with the sun to your face, then you have been reborn in Elysium and soon I shall greet your return myself."
-Solar Diamond.

The Solar Nomad,

Solar Diamond,

-------------------------

The Nomad,
Or what's left of it. This once great and powerful ship, was truly unrivaled in its day. The endless churning of its Solar-Engine generated so much gravitational force, that her mere presence warped the very fabric of reality. Space and time but her playthings in the celestial sandbox of her design. Her entourage, a myriad of stray comets, occasional exoplanets and even a few gas giants. With her solar-engine she could pull and position them with ease, even the stars themselves were subject to her domain. No one knows the exact origin of the Nomad, or if her pilot Solar Diamond was even the first to hold her reins but this massive primal force of creation and destruction has paved the way for early gem civilization for near countless eons. Like a bright lantern lighting a dark and desolate unforgiving abyss, she is a shining beacon in the very void of space.

Her star, Elysium, is home to countless Plasma-Drakes whom defend the star and even the ship itself from any attackers who stray too close but more devastating than this, the massive gravity-well generated by Elysium’s solar-engine can be used to pull many nearby asteroids and even stray planetoids in her orbit with great force and speed. Solar Diamond has made use of this power to smash enemy ships or worlds with, in many cases, world-shattering debris at the mere flick of her wrist. Should ships manage to get close enough to board, a near infinite army of gilded Solar-Gem Warriors would set upon them like a cruel and devastating wildfire. This, just another marvel of the Nomad. For deep within the crystal heart of Elysium lay the Spark of Valhalla. A miraculous device containing billions of gems socketed into the very core and circuitry of the ship herself, allowing them to form almost instantly anywhere aboard the ship or on any nearby worlds with which the light of Elysium has graced. The only catch, the Solar-Gems of Valhalla can only move at the speed of light, thus longer distances could take many years to travel and potentially, they could be out sped by similarly powerful reality warping devices. Even with this small flaw, the Spark of Valhalla was a formidable weapon for many generations, which to our knowledge, has never been fully replicated. Though that has not stopped some gem engineers from trying. Why it has not activated and the Nomad's Holy Solar-Gem Warriors have not purged the ship of infestation, merits further investigation. Once the ship is fully reclaimed of course.

The Nomad is normally accompanied by four escort-class capital ships, three as of its resurrection as the fourth was simply beyond our means to repair at this time. The Grand Solar-Forge within is currently claimed by a very hostile race of reptilian organics in dire need of removal, until the forge is reclaimed any repairs are nigh impossible and highly dangerous at that. Each escort ship contains a single Plasma-Drake and two Void-Monoliths, allowing them to exert a degree of control over enemy ships and their gravitational field, the purpose being to fling smaller ships into Elysium herself or hold larger ships in place while they are bombarded with cataclysmic meteor strikes from the Nomad. Each Void-Monolith also capable of generating a kinetic force shield capable of stopping enemy missiles and torpedo on the spot, though the damage of such small weapons is minimal compared to the sheer size of the Nomad and it's star Elysium, they more or less serve to protect ground forces during invasions in particularly large and heavily populated systems. The fiery burning star Elysium is truly the heart of this God-Class ship, for when not fighting off primitive empires her escort ships carry starship debris and asteroids to feed Elysium's eternal hunger, keeping her fiery core strong and burning bright in the dark abyss. Excess or unneeded metals are broken down within and pulled out by the Matter-Decompressor to make repairs and manufacture more material needs of the Nomad's crew in the Grand Solar Forge. Needs such as weapons, armor, Planet-Class Starfighters or comfort items such as sculptures, gildings, finery and exotic gasses for recreational inhalation, whatever her crew may desire at the time.

Erebus, the first and sole world owned and colonized by Solar Diamond herself, remains permanently towed by Elysium’s Gravity-Well as a sort of super moon and makeshift shield. Solar Diamond couldn't quite let go of this one world and forever would the Nomad carry it from system to system. Erebus is an ultra-rich super giant that once flourished from cap to cap with organic life, capable of sustaining and producing nearly any kind of Gem as needed with minimal but still existent trace amounts of organic compounds and refined silicates. It was highly valued by Solar Diamond for this reason but thanks to the Valhalla Spark, she never needed it to produce more Gem Warriors and thus kept it more or less as a trophy world. Though its surface is nearly covered in a vast and endless sprawling cityscape, the land herself lay nearly untouched or blemished by kindergartens.

The Rebirth,

Since both its reappearance and relocation to just outside the Homeworld system, its haunted visage has become occupied by many hostile factions. Though none but Solar Diamond knew how to truly operate the ship, they all vie for control none the same. The sheer amount of energy consumed and generated by the ship alone merit their desire to control the Nomad but it's reality warping properties are far greater a reason, it adjust to support any and all lifeforms aboard the vessel causing the atmosphere within to alter and very between numerous gasses such as mostly harmless methane or the more dangerous oxygen. The Diamond Authority has collectively committed numerous gems to retaking the ship but thus far progress has been slow and is not likely to improve for another three hundred thousand years or so. Even half of the Nomad is as large if not bigger than many stars, let alone the amount of stress the ship itself has put on neighboring systems and boarding parties.

Update 1/5:
Given the time distorting and space warping properties of the ship's interior, an exploratory team that we have yet to assemble has already reported back some of their findings. To ensure a stable time loop we have already begun assembling members of said team but some members are currently stationed very far away and it is recommended we hold off further investigations until the newly formed team has touched down on the surface and discovered a way to breach the ship’s interior hull. Both old and current teams have been warned of time anomalies and have been ordered to avoid direct or indirect contact at all cost. Reports indicate the ships defenders are present but seem to be in an inactive or maybe even dormant state. They do not currently respond to attempts at communication or even provocation, they merely stand eerily silent and observe anyone who cross their path.

Update 2/5:
We’ve touched down in the Celestial Shrine. Thanks to many warring factions fighting around the hull, we had an easy time of slipping right by them. Most of the ship's passive systems are offline with exception of [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], which [REDACTED] we assume is preventing us from reporting further on the matter at hand as [REDACTED] seems to have developed some sort of low level sentience and is currently using [REDACTED] to distort our memory and physically logs to prevent any sort of external interference. Thankfully as long as [REDACTED] remains active we may still make use of [REDACTED] to ease transit across the ship. Additionally, the more archaic life support systems have been hijacked by some sort of reproductive-spore based lifeform that is currently working its way throughout the ships more remote locations. It's behavior seems to indicate some level of higher sentience as it seems to be avoiding most gem occupied territories, as it is unable to infect us and it’s currently terraforming all non-essential systems it comes in contact with. Forming into some kind of fleshy organic-meat substance. We suspect it originates from an infected organic who may have been contaminated by one of the various other organic factions currently living within the ship, though we have not ruled out the possibility of the mechanical lifeforms being at fault. It may also simply be a rogue oxygen scrubber that has broken its containment field. Hard to tell really, taking samples should be easy enough but normally samples don’t fight back. On the slightest contact with the fleshy substance or airborne spores, other organics seem to react with varying levels of insanity ranging from mere spontaneous laughter to outright hostility, even among former loved ones and allies, as we’ve witnessed firsthand. Biomorphs created by this substance are very hostile and somewhat dangerous to smaller gems. Thankfully our quartz company currently has no trouble tearing them to pieces with their bare hands, stomping to a fine red pulp also seems to be a very effective countermeasure. Recommended for immediate termination, the lifeform though mostly harmless to gem life will only become increasingly difficult to terminate once it reaches critical self-sustaining mass.

Update 3/5:
A contingent of quartz soldiers got separated from the main force during an organic-resistance ambush a few days ago. Though the ambush was easily fought off with no casualties, we were sure to make notes of the encounter in great detail. This particular faction of organics seemed to make heavy use of kinetic mass projectile launchers with incendiary support devices and possible psionic specialist units, we are currently awaiting some exotic energy scan test results before confirming the origin of these strange readings. The way [REDACTED] seems to function is beyond remarkable, the separated force arrived at the destination some seventy years before us. I would not have believed it had I not seen it with my own eye. Despite no formal training, with seventy years to kill, the quartz soldiers were able to reactivate the primary sensor array within the ship's hull and some secondary functions as well. I believe it might have been merely turned off and not damaged as initially suspected. Still no signs of the original crew and the sentries remain inert for the time being. The gravitational readings we've been getting are astounding to say the least. Elysium was originally thought to have been a class G celestial body but closer inspection reveals that may have been a warped reading thanks to [REDACTED] and that it might indeed be a class far beyond that of even an O class star. The testing results might be impossible to truly render given how this star is not stationary but it may in fact be older than the universe itself, which brings up even more questions about how [REDACTED] functions but not quite as interesting as the dark matter readings. Something is pulling on the Nomand from a system near the opposite end of the galaxy. It could be the missing remains of the Nomad but the pull is too great even for half of a ship this size. I think the Nomand or at least its star might have a dark matter twin...

Update 4/5:
One of the sentries, I've nicknamed it the Big-One, it seems to be the only constant one we've encounter since our arrival. While we work to restore more functions of the ship, its sole eye seems to be following us at all hours of the solar cycle. I feel as though we're one small slip up away from accidentally activating the ships onboard defenses and possibly turning them upon ourselves. Since arriving at our destination designated the Solar-Throne, more and more reinforcements have been arriving including some rather obvious ploys by local organics trying to infiltrate our operation but also some more subtle and even disturbing anomalies. Anomalies such as duplicate forces, seemingly the same but from entirely different eras all together and even stranger than that, reinforcements from alternate realities and unrecognized gem forces. We've obviously taken the more suspect groups captive for the time being while we attempt to sort this out but in order to ensure the security of our operation we've established a secondary camp not far away from the Solar-Throne, made mostly of the duplicates but a few of our own soldiers too, if nothing else to keep an eye on the potential threats. Their new purpose is to fend off attacks made by the more aggressive organic fauna, of particular note a parasitic life form that seems to predate on other organic host. First starting its cycle by laying eggs within unsuspecting host only for the young to violently tear their way out of the unknowing host once it has reached partial maturity. Some of the organics we captured were playing host to these parasites, though the creatures themselves are not particularly noteworthy I thought it worth a mention for the very humorous noises the organics make when the parasite emerges. It was a real moral boost for the quartz soldiers, especially when one of the ruby guard started chasing after the parasite for smudging their footwear. The fun ended when a quartz soldier started playing a game of keep away with it and accidentally hiked the organic pest out a nearby pressure cabin.

Update 5/5:
We did it! We did it! Well sort of. After what felt like centuries of work but turned out to only be an hour or so, I know I double checked with the sensors we deployed earlier, we managed to reactivate approximately 2.5% of the total sentries locked away in the ship's central matrix designated Valhalla-Spark. Earlier force estimations by our sapphire contingent dictated that we'd need only awaken .3% of the total forces within to clear out the remaining ship without any further losses. Why do you stay? Mostly Aventurines and Fire Opals but a few Sunstones were spotted torching their way through the meaty spore substance we found inhabiting the life support systems earlier. Run. The adamant guard and their presumed leader, nicknamed the Big-One, I think she might be an alexandrite, remain inactive even as the smaller sentries begin to wage war in earnest against the organic and robotic invaders of the Nomad. Flee. I am unsure as to what I should make of this, its large singular eye seems to pierce my gem as though it is scanning my every thought and action, like it knows what we’re here to do and yet says nor does anything to help. Fear. Like maybe we too are unwanted guess aboard the Nomad, I fear the reality warping properties of this ship are beginning to affect my gem. Terror. I am also sad to report the loss of our assigned sapphire, even sadder to report that I'm still not sure what exactly happened here. It is coming. The gem itself remained intact well after the event but shortly before we managed to reactivate some of the sentries, our sapphire began to complain about blurry vision of all things and afterwards, well. It will be here soon. The gem itself faded in color until it was completely grey and later disintegrated into a very fine ash. Runaway while you still can. The remaining ruby guard was needless to say very disturbed by all this and have requested immediate reassignment to somewhere far far away from the ship. It's not yet too late! Our assigned sapphire served with great diligence and all due grace one would expect of Blue Diamond's court and it is for this reason I choose to accept full responsibility for what has occurred.

Update 6/5:
I hear her voice. She’s calling to me. It’s time to go…

-------------------------------

Note:
Behold the Nomad! Solar Diamond's God-Class ship and galaxy shaping engine of creation and destruction. Don't let the outside fool you, this thing is utterly massive. Though Elysium itself is slightly smaller than our own Sun, for a point of reference the entire Earth could easily fit within the tiny square panels in the gold lines. I feel like the interior is a cross between a Space-Hulk, a Gem Temple and a Salvador Dali painting, basically a stairway nightmare. The poor Nomad has seen better days, there should be an exact copy of the temple on the other side but unfortunately it went missing. We're not too sure if Black Pearl caused this or if something bigger took a bite out of it, or both to be frank we don't want to know either...

Second Note:
Got a bunch of colored and lined Dinosaurs and despite all the signs the universe has given me, I'm not yet confident enough to release them just yet.

Started out a little rough, eh?

I don't normally start digitals from complete scratch, usually always do a rough sketch on paper first, so ya, it was kind of all over the place. Getting better though, them Pokemon were all from scratch and ya some were a bit rough but for now, any progress is good progress. Until I forget it and have to relearn it all over again.

Ahaha, I see, I see.
I used to draw my stuff traditionally and scan them digitally, but I figured I might as well just get used to sketching digitally (not to say I stopped traditionally, just it's easier for me, I found).
I really like how this turned out, so I guess whatever process you took to get there, keep it up!
