WttC - Species Profile [Ur]: Perfection, we are it and that is all there is to it.
The 12th Grand Ur'naut Combine. Currently the Seventh and quite possibly, the oldest of all the known Company species. Possibly, though quite unfathomably, predating even the swinoren empire who are known to predate all of creation as is. The Ur are a biological and practically speaking, a wholly unrealistic species or oddity of space faring myceloids with their own built in FTL systems that allows them to phase in and out of reality as they please. Though it remains unknown what exact role the Ur played in the founding days of the Company, it known they are the ones who originally gifted the Company their method of FTL travel long before they joined the ranks of the Company. Through chaotic, cryptic and often madness inducing messages, they were able to instruct early Arcantoo scientist in the construction of the first wave of phase-drives. The Phase-drive being an engine that phases in and out of the 4th and 5th dimension at will, allowing it to essentially cease existence where it is and exist somewhere else instead. The difficult part is actually fine tuning the algorithms that control where and what ceases to be. By using their home system in the 12th dimension as an anchor, the Company can travel anywhere in the universe at will. Provided the Ur are present to safely guide visitors from one location to the next. As such, none may use this form of FTL but the Company and anyone without good standing, is dealt with the moment they enter the Ur space.

The Ur are large and highly intelligent, extradimensional, fungaloids with extremely potent psionic powers in both the material realm and within their own hellish nightmare realm. Their powers defy natural laws and physics, their existence in our realm doesn’t just break it but it shatters it entirely. Or at least the larger ones anyhow, the smaller Poloss and Mycoss are just fine in this dimension and all employees are encouraged to treat them kindly, they might be small know but some day in the distant future they might be as large as a star. Never hurts to have friends on the other side. Their home system is in a pocket of the 12th dimension and roughly looks like a burning hellscape of torment and suffering to many of us non-extradimensional beings. It sort of resembles a burnt out solar system with a lavish and ornate ringworld and numerous uncountable smaller space habitats. This system is known only as the Gardens of Twilight, at the center appears to be some type of black hole called the Eye of Ruin. Of what few planetoids that still orbit this ringworld, most have been completely converted into fortress worlds armed to the teeth with intergalactic and extradimensional weaponry at nearly all angels of orbit.

Personal Advisory to all Roly-Poly-Ooly Employees; the Ur are perfect. No they do not think love is a legitimate super power, they do not care about your feelings and nor do the the Ur want to be your friends. How you use your free time is entirely up to you but stop pestering the Ur about it! They do not have time discuss what's in fashion and nor do they care if you think your new shell makes you look rotund or corpulent! Despite the metallic shell, the Ur are not gastropods pals and nor are they mollusk buddies! And for the last time, the Ur do not like mustard or mayo! So if you insist on making the Ur a packed lunch, then please include ketchup!

The space itself is littered with now mostly inactive elder Ur known as Angeloss whom have become mostly unresponsive over the ages, only attacking when provoked or when they sense trespassers. Even the smallest of these Ur dwarf the largest battleships known to the Company, while the biggest among them have existed since time immemorial and are only comparable to the greatest of celestial bodies documented by Hazzron, having far outsized even the largest of known star classes and some growing to the sizes of small nebulas. We are told, that they are sleeping and conserving the last of their strength for the day the Eye of Ruin opens. Whatever war they are expecting, it is certain they have come prepared but yet remain waiting and according to reports by the most open of Ur, they are still far too weak to survive the next attack...

-------Species Abilities and Traits-------

[Void Beam]: A dangerous extradimensional beam of energy that rips and tears matter and reality at the molecular level, consuming it whole and providing nourishment to the Ur. This ability is far less potent and even more dangerous in the Poloss stage but manifest itself as an eyebeam that can rip through solid matter, if given enough time. It is dangerous because if too much power is consumed, it may destroy a planet’s atmosphere by accident.

[Abyssal Psionics]: Psionic powers that can alter the flow of time, space and even physics. The only limit to this power, is the creativity and willpower of the Ur using it. While an ancient and powerful Ur like Zedd can use this power to devastate an entire universe, many lesser Ur can barely use this power to rewind time by 5 minutes. These powers are so otherworldly, they may as well be considered space magic.

{Psionic Leech}: A passive power of the Ur allows them to feed off negative emotions. Simple emotions such as anger, fear and disgust are consider tasty but complex emotions such as hate, paranoia and anxiety are considered a delicacy. It is for this reason Ur tend to prefer work in more hostile locations.

{Extradimensional Matter}: Outside of exotic energy weapons and matter older than time and space, very little can interact with the Ur once it reaches Naut status and prior to this, most Ur can easily shrug off material weapons with little to no damage. Ur are also immune to most organic matter and reactions, including disease and viruses. This matters less with age but it does matter with younger Ur. The endoskeleton and skullcap of Ur is composed of living metal. This metal is very durable and heals over time but seeing as most conventional weapons can’t hurt them, the likelihood they’d need to heal back damage is minimal.
