Hm.. I know Digimon is a lot more stronger and such.. But I cannot help, but think of simply this. If the myths is actually true, like the 1,000 arms thing and such, then that would be interesting. Yet I think Arceus never used those arms in the present, cause normally it power alone is enough. And I just have the feeling that Arceus is capable of a lot more, but Nintendo never truly shows the god it true power in the anime..

Sorry for thinking about the battle and such since it'll never truly happen, just me wondering. I can simply guess the Digimon is simply OP that Arceus might not stand a chance at all unless, both anime, game and manga wise, more stuff is revealed about Arceus that actually makes it extremely op.

Arceus may have decent offensive power but he lacks durability and speed. Lucemon should have this hands down.

Arceus can control both Fairy-Type and Dark-Type attacks, exact equivalent to Lucemon Falldown Mode's Light and Darkness powers, respectively, and much more (He's the Pokémon God Of Creation, so he can use any move he wants - or that's what I like to think)! Lucemon's only chance would be his Satan Mode. Other than that, Arceus would have the high ground.

The pokedex said, "It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms." and "It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed." Both are myths. Arceus doesn't have 1000 arms and he was not born before the universe. How the professors know Arceus's biography if Arceus indeed came before the universe. I feel the god thing is made up. Both the 1000 arms and come before universe are myths, even the pokedex agrees. Lucemon can absorb dimensions, create dimensions, manipulated matter, fight megas with ease, killed 8 of the 10 legendary warriors in his rookie form and destroy moons like they are nothing. Arceus can't even destroy a meteor and got killed by it. I think I provided enough evidence to proof Lucemon is superior. Thank you

now, i'd vote arceus but i do have logical reasons, not "he is god so he is better" reason lol.

one can argue arceus is stronger because he made the universe but then look for a moment at his fight in the movie, how fast he was moving, his attacks, and his ability to negate elements. now look at lucemon, with his speed and strength. you shouldnt assume that because he created the univers that his attack power and speed would match that. also im baseing my theoris off of lucemon in frontier, not xros wars
arceus on one hand isn't that fast as far as we know (but we shouldn't just guess he can be so we have to go by what we know) but he has a fighting plate which reduces the power of physical attacks (if he is already in fighting mode or can change to it quick enough)
he can also use dark plate to stop dark elements, but lucemon has light elements aswell, wich arceus doesnt have a plate for. 
idk...i mean the question is all hypothetical but with lucemons speed and light element i think he has a good fighting chance, question is, can he use light in his final form? which itself could make the difference.

arceus isnt without offence though, he has draco meteor, judgement, hyper beam, perish song (which he probably wont use), giga impact, shadow force, roar of time, and spacial rend, and at least one attack for every other element not mentioned yet. as well as the ability to open portals anywhere
so can lucemon dodge and/or withstand those attacks?
probably judgement and draco meteor because they are dispersed attacks, (and its not like one condensed meteor or judgement blast will come at him head on),
and giga impact could be countered or blocked due to his enormous strength,
but roar of time would depend on if we look at the anime or the games, wither it could be dodged or not, in the game maybe wistood, but in the anime, the beam might be too much.
hyperbeam could be withstood, but arceus does have a ton of energy to back up the power,
shadow force could be a major asset in pushing lucemon's speed
portals could be use to change locations to help arceus
spacial rend could do some serious hurt aswell, but i doubt he can use  spacial rend and shadow force together so hitting lucemon would be a problem,
perish song is suicidal so lets not go there unless the fight becomes so even that arceus rather tie then lose
element attacks could be doubled in power but leave arceus majorably damageable by elements he isn't in the form for. like how thunder hit him hard when he didnt have the electric plate to defend with (and by form i mean, if you noticed, he had to turn into a dragon state like in the game when he wanted to block palkia's attack)

now lets look more at lucemon's arsenal. 
he obviously has the strength and speed, as we saw when he beat the ever loving crap out of our heroes before fusing. smashing a moon, and of course his OP energy attacks
his strength and speed can be balked if arceus doesnt leave fighting mode
grand cross fires 10 super heted spheres of light in the form of a cross, that crash down hard on an enemy. arceus could dodge that but could he block it? its light based, so his plates wont help, so it would rely on his actual defence, i say no, but he can dodge, 
with ultimate sacrifice, he can create energy spheres that when used together, traps an enemy and if he wants, damage them over time with light and dark energy. dark attacks can be balked but then arceus cant be in fighting mode which could leave him open for attack.
now paradise lost punch is a physical attack, now lets think, he now it can have its damaged balked by the fighting plate but lets still examine what it does if it does get arceus. he would be stuck with a wid dance of blows then slammed down unable to move into the ground, much like seismic toss in pokemon, arcues wouldn't be defeated by it but would be getting up a bit shaken up.
if lucemon goes to shadowlord mode, he has 7 elemental crowns for defence and offence and can use the attacks Tide of Despair, Nihilism Maelstrom, Dimension Slasher, and Wrath of Darkness 

tide of Dispair is fire based but is a dark attack that shoots forward and "purifies" everything with intence heat and destruction, stronger then hyperbeam but probably still weeke then roar of time, so arceus could diffuse, block, or counter it
Nihilism maelstrom uses the 7 crowns to fire intence beams of light energy outward where ever he wants to send them
Dimension Slasher is on par with spacial rend, wich is bad news for arceus because unlike spacial rend it is NOT a dragon attack or a dark or even light attack, its purely dimensional energy, wich is most likely (but dont quote me on this, its just my opinion) stronger then elemental attacks.
Wrath of Darkness is his strongest power in this form, allowing him to send a beam of energy from the orb under him, much like the ones fro the crowns but much more powerfull and larger

the big thing about shadow lord mode though is that it cant be damaged directly, only the orb should be attacked to damage him, because the orb contains the true lucemon. in his larva mode, he suplies the attacks to the evil shadow carieing the orb but without the orb (say it brakes) the shadowlord mode disapears, leaving the larva, who cant preform anything but simple lhigh speed tackls and energy bulets, but due to his size, and lack of shadowlord mode, he is less of a bother and is easily trumpt.

looking at their attacks, defences, and weaknesses, i think lucemon has a good shot to win BUT my money is on arceus.
