Conformation Test

While showing well is a very good aspect in a horse, they should also have good-excellent conformation! This is why we have set up this kind of test!

You may only take this evaluation once!
Your horse may either be shown at a Walk, Trot or Standing [Squared]

To Complete this Evaluation, please NOTE the group with the follow:

Horse Reference:
Test Image:

To be included in the description of the Image:

Horse Name:
Horse Breed: [link if a DA breed. Link if part of a Natural breed registry]
Discipline:
Color:

Note: These Run Every Monday. Or Every Monday and Friday if there are allot of participants ^^

Conformation Tests will take place at Deadmans Willow where Luciano was kind enough to rent us his arenas.
You may use either the Indoor Arena or the Outdoor Dressage arena found on the Map

Eventually I will provide Premade backgrounds for this test, but you get higher score for creating your own!

Now, Your horse will be judged 1-10 on the following:

Balance
Muscling
Structure (i.e., soundness and correctness of conformation)

Most of these are RNG based and you will receive "3" scores that are averaged together [each can be recorded if wished]. This is to perform like a panel of judges.

Structure is based on your Drawing, though not anatomically. Please Look under that subsection for more information!

Balance:
Balance is one of the sight traits.
Typically this is a measure of how the horse is "proportioned". See Link below if you would like more detail!

1-2 - Out of Balance
3-8 - Almost Perfect Balance
9-10 - Ideal Balance

Muscling:
This is one of our RNG traits.
A horse needs to have a bit of muscle to perform their duties. So no twigs! hehe.

1-2 - Very Lanky
3-8 - Moderately muscled
9-10 - Perfect Muscling

Structure:
This is one of the Sight Traits.
Allot of things are looked at here. From the horses' size and standing [preferred them to be "squared"] However, we are also looking at breed standards.

Is your horse the right size? Color? Personality? Are they in a suitable discipline? How are their gaits? Many things factor into these ratings!

This is the image you must draw to be graded on.

1-2 - Undesirable Structure
3-8 - Desirable Structure
9-10 - Perfection

These scores will be added up For your horse's Score!

Scores:

3-6 = Not a good Conformation
7-24 = Good Conformation
25-30 = Perfect Conformation

While this has no direct Impact on your horses' desirability, it is a fun activity that our members can do!

Those who participate earn an extra +3 cp and fall under the Show Catagory
3-6 = +.5cp
7-24 = +1 cp
25-30 = +1.5cp

Definitely looking to participate! I love inspections.

Not 100% sure I understand the judging here, but I'll probably just enter and see how it works then.

Looking forward to it!

I will try to explain it a bit easier:

You will draw 1 image and receive a score. However the score will be broken into 3 basic scores.

1st score is just RNG
2nd score is based on your horse's information compared to his actual breed standards
3rd score is based on the image itself. Mainly against your gallery but considers the effort you put into it.

Is that more clear?

I think so. We'll find out, lol!
(I'm a "learn by doing" type, so if I'm not sure I fully understand, I jump in anyways - by the time I go through the process once I usually have a good handle on it. )

by "only once" does it mean one entry per horse or?
also, what kind of background should be drawn, if any?

Yup. I am considering making af2u bg just for this event but you get a little bonus for your own though
