She was just an aecuse to get one of my chars into a bitch fight with Damian, but then she decided she wanted more purpose and made me make her better

Strengths She's had almost twelve years of martial arts training, which have only been advanced since joining Nightwing. She's not physically strong, but she does know how to use her opponents' weights against them ,thus giving the illusion of strength. She fast and flexible.

Weaknesses She's short tempered with a smart mouth. She has a vicious need to prove herself and often gets herself into trouble because of it. She has a high opinion of herself, most of the time, and will jump into situations, thinking she can handle them when she can't.

History She was born and raised in Blüdhaven to a pair of German immigrants. They owned the same bar Dick Grayson ended up working at when he moved to town. Sam was never found far from the bar unless she was in school or the martial arts classes her parents made her get. They knew how dangerous Blüdhaven was and wanted Samantha to be able to protect herself.

When Samantha was 13 the apartment complex she and her parents lived in was burnt down while she was at school, killing her parents and many others, and leaving everyone else homeless.. No one had been surprised by the fire as the owner of the complex had been dealing with shady people recently, but it angered them that one man's mistakes had cost so many other people their lives.

Dick took over the bar when the owners passed and took pity on the orphaned girl. He took her in and took care of her while she recovered from her loss. Unfortunately, Samantha was as curious as a cat and one day, while Dick was at work, she discovered his Nightwing outfit. When Dick realized she knew of his nightly activities he was amused to find he wasn't very surprised.

At first he was adamant that she not join him, but she refused to listen. Even going so far as to stalk him on his patrols. Finally he relented and allowed her to join him as his sidekick, Nightingale.

Barbara designed the suit since neither of them have any fashion sense.

Personality She's a rough and tumble sort of gal. Being raised in a place where only the fittest survive has taught her to take punches and return them without thought. She has a bad girl kind of attitude and a snarky mouth and its not unusual to see her and her mentor fighting. Despite her tough act, on the inside she can be a very sensitive and sad girl, longing for something more than this hellhole she's a part of now. Her parents work at their bar left her without their influence for a long time, and she longs for a parental touch, though she will never speak of this need. She finds the thought of wanting love to be a weakness and she refuses to allow herself to embrace it.
