heheh. I'm currently writing a fic (woah! after 2 1/2 years!) which is, obviously, ShikaTem, where the pair are already married and they had a child, named Umeko (meaning connection/braid, which fits the connection when a Konoha shinobi and a Suna Kunoichi marry...). X3 oh well...Another attempt on cel shading. I know. I suck. >.<
drawn on paper, inked trad, colored on photoshop CS on the LAPTOP w/o mouse...just my poor finger....

OMG! That was exactly how I imagined Shikamaru and Temari's child. I was writing a fiction about their child who would be named Tsubaki for some reason inside the fiction and she had her mother's green eyes and Shikamaru's black hair. Ohmigosh! Kya! (hugs Umeko)

Ooh, a fic. Its been a while since I read one.
And about the cell shading, have you tried lasso then using feather (0.5 - 1.5 pixels)? It smothens out the edges.
Other than that, its all about knowing where the light source is and how much light and shadows you put in.
Keep it up, I see talent in this one.
