I feel like everytime Sapphire leaves for her modeling, the main reason why she comes back is for her mom, and he little brother. Plus Sapphire likes to try and make clothes instead of modeling from time to time. Kygo has hard scales, so poking him with a needle or pin won't hurt him at all. LOL
