Commission for TemhotaTech . I had the freedom to choose the expressions of the four boys in the last panel and I had very much fun doing it, especially Shiro's... (that was actually me when I first saw smiling Satsuki... right in the kokoro haha xD). Ira's shocked face is a hommage to another awesome series btw, a cookie to anyone who guess it right :'DStory by temhotatech, art by me. well it's not out yet (the first bluray volume will be released in August) but we got an sample of the first half of the first episode and my god almost NONE of the voices sounded right! Satsuki sounded like an old hag, Mako sounded more like Ryuko, Ira's voice was at least two octaves too high (the German version of him is the very example of real a Pica if you have read the newest OP chaps xD) and Aikuro just didn't sound right. I will still buy the blurays just to own it because I love KlK so much (I even ordered the official guide book for 30€ today... my poor wallet orz) but it's a real disappointment. All my hopes for the English dub now!

omg so the event is over and I'm really excited for the English dub now! I will surely always prefer the Japanese dub for Kill la Kill just because the voices are so unique and fitting and the English dub doesn't match up to that but it was good enough for me to want to watch the English dub with friends who prefer to not read subs. They screwed up Nonon's name though, I was like wtf when he said (and wrote) Nanon instead of Nonon. I was also like wtf he serious when he sad "we're not even sure if there is going to be an OVA"...
I loled at the Bully la Bully one though and I laughed way more than I should have when he said condom instead of comments haha xDD (or at least that's what I understood xDDD)
Christine was adorable btw :3 And why do you guys get such a royal treatment with that awesome limited edition?!!! We don't even have posters in our so called limited editions (which is basically just an additional slipcase) and the covers of our volumes look so terrible you won't believe it! D: Gosh I'm really tempted to cancel my order for the German volumes and import the English ones instead... >____<

and wow you liked the dub? satsuki and ryuko and senketsu sounded awful and they didn't pronounce the names right (mankanshok and senkets and omfg kiryuuuuuin O___o) and gamagori didn't even say _lady_ satsuki! the eng dub is ruined for me!

My friend trust me if you knew the German dub then the English dub, as worst case as it might be, will sound like an awesome dub in your ears! xD
But Senketsu's voice was really really terrible, I give you that. He had such a warm, calm and bro-like voice in the Japanese version but NOTHING of that sort in the English dub! And yeah Satsuki and Ryuko sounded indeed off, but still a loooot better than the German ones. And you are raging about a missing "Lady"? Well I tell you what we got the Japanese suffixes in the spoken German versions, all wrongly pronounced but with the names in the western order. It's like the most deadly combination you could get for a dub! And as bad as some of the English voices may sound at least Nonon was great and I also liked Ira's voice very much. And Mako was fitting too despite of her pronouncing Mankanshoku wrong haha
