i looked in your gallery and couldnt find any meercats? whats funny tho is that when i got homw, i did a search on google for meercats and all the pics of them were standing up on the rear legs... none sitting.
maybe these have just gotten lazy. tired of standing all day looking at the same thing. awwe, that makes me sad for the meercats now.

I'm used to them standing on their hind legs! They're very inquisitive little critters - almost like little prairie dogs. Actually, I think meerkats and prairie dogs are the same thing. They're so adorable.

Hehehe, no worries. Most people have that misconception of SA. And you're right, it is the media's fault! They always portray Africa as being this dark continent with all the people living in jungles and wild animals running around in the streets. Granted, that's true for some places... but South Africa is not one of them - we are quite advanced here, even have that fangled Internet doodah, Satellite TV and all that stuff!
