It should not come as a surprise that Strigoi dragged along with Didi and Deli to Mexico to make his very first show debut. At a little more than a year old, he was already a handsome young dog, even if his paws were still a bit too big and his legs were long and thin, needing some time to properly fill out. Essie thought there could be no harm in trying him out in conformation, especially as he was still too young for any serious training.

And so, besides showing off the two borzois in a brace, she’s also shown off Stryg. He was so excited and full of energy that he could barely stand still, but some gentle corrections from Essie’s side had him on his best behavior. He curiously sniffed around, eyes big as he drank in his surroundings. The dim lights and decorations didn’t seem to bother him the slightest as he poked at them with the curiosity of a puppy… which he, frankly, still was at heart. Despite all that, Stryg was decently obedient in the ring, though the judges’ examination had him visibly annoyed. It was good that she’s decided to show him, Essie thought, as he clearly needed some time to get used to the show world… or perhaps he would’ve just done better in performance.
