"Mhh seems to be not the perfect distance for her, but there are very few races for two year olds nowadays. I think you're right we have to take what we can get. It will be good for her first experiences anyway."

And so they both found themselves out an the track at Colonial Downs on a rainy day. Jaqueline was getting the mare ready while Thomas was underway at the weigh station. She hummed an oly lullaby while saddling the horse to calm the mare down. The whole time in the ring she was dancing sideways, till she was released to the first galop with Thomas on her back.
