I wanted to create characters with butterfly tops in mind and so I decided to do some character redesign of the powerpuff girls, or well, now ladies, with butterfly tops!

So, buttercup is no doubt our resident goth/grunge sister and I just had to give her that aesthetic. I mean, others might have put her in pants or leggings or something, but personally, I'm more of a skirt girlie and so, I just had to think in-line with the kind of skirt buttercup would wear! She would definitely be the least femme expressing of the three, but definitely the one with the most grounding presence. And I think green just suits so well with goth influenced outfits. ^^ If I wasn't already so wrung out rendering blossom and bubbles' outfits, I would've really given more thought to adding more chain accessories but oh well... there's always a next time!
