Pokemon joke, how...unexpected. It was coming, sooner or later, no avoiding it.
When I was a young lad or so and Pokemon was still the thing, a friend of mine asked me: "Hey, what do you think is under a Diglett?" And I thought about it, 'cause they're so tiny and you never see anything but their heads. Being the younglings that we were, we spent the next week or so obsessed with the idea: drawing a bunch of pictures of what we thought could possibly be contained in that little patch of dirt. They ranged from mole-looking bodies to amoebic forms, I think I even drew one with little propeller-buzzsaw appendages.
