Another contest prize for of her lovley character, Moon!Gaaah, she is such a preettyyyy character! I seriously had SOO much fun making this, and I am really pleased with the outcome!
I hope this looks alright as an icon though, I SUCK at making them because they always go all blurry. :C

Errmm, what size do you start with when you're doing an icon? Or, how do you do to shrink so it doesn't look all blurry?

I am realllyy inexperienced with icons, whenever I resize them they look pretty blurry to me anyway..
But I usually start off with 1000x1000 and do the whole pic (then merge it all when you're done), then I open a new canvas 50x50 and paste the picture I did on there. Then press CTRL + T and resize it to fit he canvas.
There's a 50x50 version of this in my scraps too if you want to look at it small. :3

I got to see the one in your scraps, though I don't understand why yours doesn't look that blurry xD
That seems like a good way of working, though I think I would use the Image Size tool and resize it this way. And maybe play a bit with the resolution!

When you open a new file in PS, under 'Width' and 'Height', there's 'Resolution'(also know as ppi's).
