More Swamp Thing stuff!
Neither Slate nor Grace have big roles in season one, just background characters at the start: Grace is the new scientist in town, hired by Avery Sunderland, and Slate is a resident who is mostly seen at Delroy's Roadhouse, either with his band or drinking with his buddy, Daniel. But since it's a small country town of course Grace and Slate would meet soon! And Delroy's would be the spot, Grace making friends with Liz and getting the guided tour. This includes the introductions of the local faces.
Gosh, this was a challenge. Multiple characters in an environment interaction, though I cheated a bit and used photos of Delroy's for the backdrop. And something I never thought I'd do, ever—draw REAL people in my style. I'm proud of myself for actually doing it, even if they may not look exactly like actors Ian Ziering or Maria Sten.
