Aito is a partially selective mute, he cannot speak at times (the majority of time) due to post traumatic disorder which renders him incapable of speaking. He, occasionally, can speak, but he does not feel the need to, typically, as he has just been silent his whole life. He is a bit stupid, but he's very sweet and gentle. One could describe him as "blank" and he is a bit tentative and slow with his thoughts and mental processes, but he is intelligent enough to not be completely an idiot. He is, in fact, useful and a very good fighter. Aito is deeply caring and treasures those close to him and has a religious justice to his character as he was raised in a religious organization (possibly a sort of cult, although it might not be as it was not particularly a "bad" practice of religion) on an island off the shore of a country based off of Japan. He loves cute things.
