Description I did a little comparison with scetching tools that I like to use with a standard scethcbook (fe. Dayler and Rowney Ebony Artists scethc book) and a water brush.

Rotring Art pen is my favourite, because it feels and looks nice and it has a traditional fountain pen tip. It has ink cartridges that are easy to replace and small to carry around if you run out of ink, so it's reusable. It is not how ever waterproof so if you are planning on making washes over it with a waterbrush, then you might want to consider a waterproof alternative. Although sometimes the washes and the inks smudging can work for you so it's a matter of taste and what you want.

Pilot V-Pen is very similar to the Rotring art pen, also with a traditional pen tip. It's not refillable, so you have to throw it away when the ink runs out. The tip might be a bit heavier on the flow and a bit wider, but other than that there is not much difference. Very nice for scething.

Faber Castel Vision Micro has a very nice flow and a nice line quality, this is also not waterproof and not refillable. Very nice for scethcing.

Sakura Micron Pigma 005 is a waterproof choise, but at least for me it did not flow well on my choise of paper. Perhaps a smoother manga style paper will give better results. Waterproof, not refillable.

Faber Castel PITT artist pen size M, waterproof, not refillable. This pen flows nicely and has a lovely line quality to it. You can get it with an even smaller or thinner tip and it's nice for scethching and coloring. Also the thicker PITT pens come in various colors and grayscale range and are good for coloring.

I also have a refillable Faber Castel technical pen the TGI-S with a 0,35 tip. I was really dissopointed with this pen, it does not work at all or at least not for drawing. I cannot get it to flow nicely, in fact I cannot get it to flow at all. From the very first day that I got this pen I have not been able to use it, I don't know if I just got a bad specimen, because I cannot get the ink to come out, it just won't flow. It's not due to the pen being blocked of dryed ink, because it did this the minute I filled it up and started using it. I would nor recommend this pen to anybody, a complete waste of money, the pen and the ink costs about 20-30 € total.

This what I name a 'right call' advice. Any artist who questions his/her choice regarding fountain pens will find this extremely useful. The various degrees of water resistance and the pen's flow are immensely important to the artwork's overall quality. I'm finding this form of advice simple and clear, original and, not to mention, useful.
